This past weekend was busy and fun. Friday evening, Luther grilled steak on the grill and we sat out on our patio and ate dinner together. I think this might be the first time ever we sat outside and had dinner together. We have had cookouts before, but never just the two of us. It was nice. Then we invited some friends to stop by and Lindsay and Brandon. Our friends were unable to make it, but Lindsay and Brandon came over after they went out for dinner. We just hung out on the patio talking and listening to the radio. Another friend of mine had offered to give Lindsay some bicycles, so we planned on going over to Laura's house on Saturday to pick them up.
Saturday, we went over to Lindsay's to pick her up to get the bicycles. Luther, Ryan and I all went because we planned on going to the Parade of Homes afterwards and dream a little. Since we were all there, Brandon decided to come with us to Laura's house and get the bikes. We picked up the bikes and spent a little time visiting with Laura and Mark. When we left, Ryan was hungry, so we decided to stop at Sonic and get happy hour drinks while Ryan ate some food. Brandon and Lindsay decided to go with us to the Parade of Homes. It was really cool because Brandon's Dad is a local home builder and he had several homes in the parade. He was at his second home they were showing, so Luther, Ryan and I got to met him. He is a very nice man and he has some very nice homes.
Sunday, we decided to clean the garage and get it turned into a workout room. We had a few things that need to go up in the attic and we had some other things we got rid of. It was pretty much organized so to speak, but we had to move everything in the driveway because we were rearranging some shelves in order to get the workout stuff situated where we wanted it. It's really nice how it all turned out. We have a weight bench, a punching bag, an elliptical, a mini trampoline, another machine that is like a leg glider and of course the Wii. It's like a mini gym in our house.
I wasn't thrilled to do it so much, but after everything was finished and it looks so good, I'm glad we did it. Now, bring on the Wii tournaments! So all in all, we had some dream time in the Parade of Homes and then a dream come true when we finished the garage.

Life Style Update
It has been about a month since Luther and I started our diet or more like eating life style change and I am happy to report I have lost 15 pounds! Luther has lost way more than me, but he's a man....expected! I am so proud of him, his work pants fall down if he doesn't have a belt on them and he has been wearing shirts lately that I have not seen on him in years.
I have tried to loose weight in the past and have been successful, but it is so much easier having him on board with me. No double cooking, encouragement from each other and sharing and seeing results. It's still hard, but much easier together! This time I am saying goodbye to the pounds forever and not letting them come back. It's too much hard work to do over and over again!
Next on our agenda is to get the garage organized again and get it back to a workout room. I see lots of wii fit in my future!

Denim Day in Aggieland
Today was an unusual day at work because we were allowed to wear jeans. It was in protest of a ruling that the Italian courts made in a rape case. I had never heard the story before this week, but I wore my jeans in support of the protest because it was very heart breaking. I have attached the story below:

Day at the Zoo!
Today we went to the Cameron Park Zoo in Waco. It was a beautiful day, not to hot and not cold. We left early this morning so we could take our time walking through the zoo and maybe beat some crowds. It turned out awesome! We did beat the crowds, in fact, we were one of the first people there. We parked very close to the entrance and when we left the whole parking lot was full.
My favorites are the monkeys, cats and giraffes. The tigers were so entertaining. When we first walked up, one was laying down and the other was way back from us. We hung around and the cat in the back started coming closer and closer to us, then the other cat got up and ran and pounced on the cat approaching us. It was so cute! Then the cat that pounced was rubbing and licking the other cat, very very cute! I gave them a 10 out of 10 on the cute factor.
It was a really fun day. Lindsay went with us and she said Brandon was really sad he had to work and miss the zoo. We decided we all need to go down to Galveston and visit Moody Gardens some time this summer. Moody Gardens is another really neat place to visit.
Now for pictures:
